M.Y. PENNY LANE
AN idyllic, and distinctive CHARTERING, CRUISING & ON-BOARD STAY experience IN SAN FRANCISCO BAY
All I can say is, wow! This was my best airbnb experience. My mom and I stayed in the master room. The bed was very comfortable. It was perfect for us. The "Penny Lane" is a beautiful yacht. Hemant is such a wonderful person and it was a treasure to get to know him. He is an extremely helpful, generous, and caring person. We were so happy to share conversation with him, get to know him, and listen to his stories. We got turned around trying to find the yacht and he drove out to find us so that we could follow him back. In the morning, Hemant made the most excellent breakfast, we've ever had! It turns out...he's a chef :) He takes the bnb seriously and with pride. We very much enjoyed our stay on the "Penny Lane." We loved getting to know Hemant and will recommend this listing to friends and family. We hope that we can come back sometime ourselves! Our only regret is that we didn't plan more time here!
Our host Hemant made our stay extra special by providing as much or as little assistance as we needed. This was our first Airbnb and first stay on a yacht. The master room with our own bathroom and large closet and storage spaces as well as the most comfortable bed made our stay very comfortable. Hemant served up a hearty breakfast each morning, my favorite part of B&B's. We had no trouble negotiating the short ladder once on the boat. I would recommend the Penny Lane yacht for the adventurous type such as we are.

Hemant was a most engaging and accommodating host. The opportunity to spend our vacation on a yacht in a beautiful marina adjacent to an upscale community turned out fabulously. We took day trips into San Fransisco, Napa, and Sonoma and a side trip to Lake Tahoe. The breakfasts were gourmet and we were provided with unfettered access to the marina and boat for our stay. There are a few aspects of staying aboard a boat that may be unexpected. You will need to be comfortable going up and down ladders and steps. The pumps can provide a bit of noise when they run and the showers are tiny but the water is hot and the charm of the boating life more than overcomes any idiosyncrasies. Some may worry about a rocking sensation and, although we could hear water lapping against the hull at times, we never experienced any movement while docked. There was the typical coolness of a Bay Area summer but the fog never reached us. Although the drought creates some problems there, it made for great vacationing weather. I highly recommend this as an option for you if you are in the San Fransisco / Oakland area and want a place to stay for a few days.
I stayed on Hemants Yacht in the Alameda Bay. Hemant is a nice and frinedly as they come, and very professional. He met me at the gate early and showed me the way in. The Yacht is as the photos showed, clean and tidy. The living spaces are roomy enough, and the kitchen is more than adequate. full fridge. I had the mid-ship cabin, the smallest. It was small, but its a ship, and that's what I would expect. Hemant is a really nice host, and a serves a great (so much better than the average old B and B) breakfast. thank you.
Staying on Penny Lane was really one of the highlights of our trip. The boat is spacious and decorated with taste. The bed was really comfy and the bathroom was clean. Plus Hemant was an extraordinary host, always up for a conversation and prepares the most yummy breakies even for gluten/lactose intolerant such as myself. The Marina is a short ride to the city centre so we were able to go for a wonder during the day. I would absolutely go back and recommend this place for anyone who wants a unique experience.
This was our first AIRBNB stay and it was fantastic. We were visiting San Francisco for 2 days and I thought it would be a fun stay. The yacht we stayed on, The Penny Lane, is very tastefully decorated by the host and has a cool retro-feel, complete with it's own interesting history. The bathroom is a little small, but this is made up by the fact that you are indeed staying on a yacht. And a beautiful one at that. Hemant was a wonderful host. He gave us easy to follow directions and greeted us with a big warm smile. We were encouraged to make full use of everything and he did his best to truly make us feel at home. His experience in the hotel industry serves him extremely well in taste and hospitality. We ended up chatting for hours on end, this was one of my favorite parts of our stay. The breakfast provided was amazing, complete with grains, fresh fruit, a spectacular omlete the first morning and an incredible croissant the next morning. We left the yacht feeling extremely satisfied and full with spectacular food, great conversation, and wonderful memories we will always treasure. We would go back to stay there in a heartbeat. The yacht did not rock or sway at all while we were there. In fact, it was easy to forget we were on the water. The location is extremely convenient. We were able to drive to the ferry, park it there for free and get to pier 39 which puts you at the heart on San Francisco all in about 25 minutes. Avoiding super expensive and inconvenient city parking woes. I would recommend staying here to anyone. It is a great experience and better than any hotel you could find for the price by far.
SUPER GREAT EXPERIENCE!! It was such an amazing chance to stay in yacht for me and my mom. Penny lane have spacious lounge, rooms, kitchens_all pretty and well-decorated. Bed was comfortable and big enough. Moreover, Hermant one of nicest host I have ever met through airbnb. He is so kind, helpful, warm...and great cook! You can taste a beautiful breakfast in the morning. Also, he is very knowledgeable_you can get tips about many hot spots in SF. You must not miss this unique place and Hermant's special breakfast.
